This term the children will be learning about volcanoes and earthquakes. They will also be learning to develop their setting descriptions, narrative, report and explanation writing. Within their writing, they will be using expanded noun phrases, correct tense and verbs, conjunctions, adverbials and prepositions. During this term we will also be focusing further on paragraphing and punctuation.
Focus texts: Escape from Pompeii, The Pebble in my Pocket and The Firework-maker's Daughter.
Within the files, you will find the expectations for writing. All children are expectated to meet these objectives to become a year 3 writer.
