Essential Information

Homework is given out each week on a Friday and is due in the following Tuesday.

Please encourage your child to read at home at least 4 times a week and record this in their reading diaries. This can be to a grown up, a sibling, a favourite teddy or aloud to themselves. Following along to an audio book is also a great way of improving intonation and expression, whilst adding to their vocabulary. It is important to also read for pleasure and this may mean that your child asks you, as a parent, to read to them so that they are able to access books of interest that are above their reading age.

You will find passwords for Purple Mash and Timestable Rockstars in your childs reading diary. Class 7 and 8 are in competition!

Class 8- PE kits should remain in school for the half term and should include pumps and trainers (for outdoor sports). PE day is on a Friday every week. If your child has an ear piercing, then earrings need to be removed at home.

Please send PE kits into school at the start of each half term. This will be sent home for washing at the end of each half term.

A PE kit should include:

* Blue or white plain t-shirt (no football shirts)

* Blue shorts

*Tracksuit bottoms/jogging bottoms or leggings

*jumper/jacket

* Trainers suitable for outdoor use

Please can you make sure all PE kit items are named.

Class 7 will be having swimming lessons every Friday afternoon until 22nd March 2024. These swimming lessons are instead of a PE lesson and therefore the children do not need to bring their PE kits into school until swimming has finished. The children need to bring in their swimming kit (swimming costume/swimming trunks, swimming cap for long hair and a towel) every Friday.
