Leadership Team Priorities

The Leadership Team, which includes the Governing Board, and school staff are firmly focused on ensuring that pupils at Gainsborough Primary & Nursery School achieve their full potential.  For 2019 - 2020  there are six key priorities that we are working on:

Key Priority 1

Ensure that leaders at all levels continue to focus on those actions that will impact positively on pupil attainment to enable more pupils to reach age related expectations, including in subjects other than English and Mathematics.

Key Priority 2

Ensure that the quality of education in the school, and in particular the school’s curriculum, impacts positively on levels of attainment for all pupils.

Key Priority 3

Reduce persistent absence and further improve attitudes to learning.

Key Priority 4

Help pupils to build their confidence and resilience and to understand how to engage successfully with society and prepare for future life.

Key Priority 5

Further increase the percentage of pupils meeting the expected standard for their age across all age groups and all subjects.

Key Priority 6

Ensure that leadership of EYFS secures outstanding progress for pupils from starting points that are well below age typical and that it prepares them effectively for KS1.
