Educational Visits

At Gainsborough, we pride ourselves on delivering high quality educational visits that are fully risk assessed with reference to specific activities and individual cohorts. Every planned educational visit and visitor will directly link to the theme/topic that the children are learning about. We make the most of our local area with visits to Queens park, Crewe library and whole school visits to All Saints church. Further afield, educational visits include Jodrell Bank, Chester Zoo and Delamere Forest. Children in year 4 and 6 also have the opportunity to take part in a residential visit.

Payments for educational visits and residentials can be made in instalments. We may also be able to offer subsidised costs for pupils entitled to the Pupil Premium. Parents/Carers should always contact the school to discuss payments if experiencing difficulties in paying.

‘My favourite visit was going to the beach. I made sandcastles with Harleigh. I loved eating ice cream sat on the bridge watching the sea.’ Maja, year 1.

‘At the Runway Visitor Park in Manchester we saw lots of planes taking off and landing. We went on an aeroplane, I dressed up and pretended to be the pilot. I saw Concorde and had my photo taken underneath it’s nose! I had lots of fun there.’ Aarohi, year 2.
