Maths

This term in maths we will using Power Maths to learn about: To know angles are measured in degrees: estimate and compare acute, obtuse and reflex angles, identify 3-D shapes from 2-D representations, distinguish between regular and irregular polygons, convert between different units of metric measure (for example, km/m, cm/m, ml/l), to count through zero and find the difference between negative numbers. In maths, the children will build on their knowledge of decimals from the previous term. They will focus on shape, geometry, rotation and units of measure involving distance and weight.

Maths homework will be set on a weekly basis and will either be a written homework or computer based.  If you have any difficulty accessing the internet, please notify your child's teacher and we will organise computer access for them within school.  Homework is handed out to the children every Friday and is due in on the following Wednesday.

Times Tables - Some helpful links
Please continue to practise these at home with your child as they need to be able to recall these rapidly. You can also use Times Tables Rockstars to practise these along with a website called Flash Tables
