Welcome back!. We are going to have just as much fun this term as we did last term.
Our topic this half term is Mini Beasts and New Life. We will be doing lots of outdoor exploring looking for signs of spring.
This week our book focus is The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. Below we have added lots of ideas and activities that you can explore through the story.
Mrs Smith will be online everyday on TEAMS to talk to you and your parents about any worries, concerns or help with school work.
Every day there will be a phonics lesson led by Mrs Hampshire and a Maths lesson led by Mrs Smith.
Mrs Hampshire will also add an online story everyday to share with the children.
The following links are to videos we use daily with the children in the classroom to help with their counting and tricky words
Counting to 20
Please work with your child at their pace. Reception children are not expected to sit for long periods of time and when working with children at school we don't expect them to focus for longer than ten minutes.
We will be expecting the children to record work in their home learning books. Evidence of work will be asked to be submitted to the email email@example.com so that Reception teachers can use the childrens work to inform their planning and ensure the children's specific needs are met.
Children are expected to read everyday and practise their names or letter formation with the resources provided.
